African American Chamber to hold 2013 black-tie installation dinner

The Antelope Valley African American Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2013 Black Tie Installation Dinner—“Celebrating Community Leaders and Legends” at the Hellenic Center Lancaster on Nov. 23, beginning at 5 p.m.

A host of confirmed honorees that will be recognized include the legendary Otis Williams of The Temptations (last remaining original member), Ambassador Diane E. Watson, former member of Congress, Palmdale Mayor James Ledford and Ingrid Chapman of Chapman Communications.

In addition, the chamber will honor outgoing Chairman of the Board Richard Poston, M.A. Glenna Gaffney is the new incoming chair for the next three years. The entire newly formed board will also be installed at this event.

Ticket sales are $55 for members and $65 for non-members. Sponsorship opportunities will be available from July 19 through Nov. 22.
