The last of three men convicted of second-degree murder for their involvement in a street brawl that led to a man’s shooting death in Lancaster was sentenced Thursday to 17 years to life in prison.
Randy “Bam” Sullivan, 36, was convicted April 3 along with co-defendants Terrell Henderson, 22, and Joshua Lockett, 21.
The three got into an argument with the 21-year-old victim, Brandon Houston, the morning of Nov. 29, 2012, after his live-in girlfriend called her sister and asked for a ride, and the sister instead sent the three men to pick her up, according to Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami.
The defendants left, but made good on their promise to return. They arrived during the noon hour, along with two other men, and a street brawl involving about a dozen people, including the defendants, ensued.
During the fight, one of the men who arrived with the defendants walked through the crowd, went directly to Houston and shot him 12 times, the prosecutor said.
The gunman is still being sought, along with the other man who was brought to the scene of the shooting by the defendants, according to Hatami.
Lockett was sentenced in May to 15 years to life in state prison, while Henderson was sentenced late last month to 35 years to life in prison.
