The Palmdale City Library has announced the formation of the AV Teen Writer’s Group, in partnership with the Antelope Valley Writers Association, to give aspiring writers ages 13-17 a place to hone their craft.
The first meeting will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. No registration is required.
“Here’s a great opportunity to meet other young writers and learn new tricks via workshops and group discussions,” said Palmdale Library Director Thomas Vose.
The Antelope Valley Writers Association is a diverse group of local writers that is open to all who are looking for an outlet to share their writings and have a desire to learn and improve through constructive critiques from peers.
The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
