“Green Revolution,” an upcoming exhibition at the Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH), 665 Lancaster Blvd., will open for public view from 4 to 6 p.m., Feb. 20. A free reception celebrating the exhibition will take place on Feb. 13.
The show utilizes art and environmental education as a catalyst for leading more “green” and sustainable lives. Sponsored by Lancaster Choice Energy and Power, the diverse artwork on display will incorporate recycled materials and address topics including: urban farming and gardening; sustainable design; water harvesting, and renewable energy such as wind and solar power.
Aligned with the city of Lancaster’s goal of becoming a NetZero community, MOAH and its sister facility MOAH: CEDAR are both presenting a season of individual shows which focus on sustainable living. MOAH: CEDAR’s show “Small Footprints” will open to the public tomorrow at the Andrew Frieder Creative Service space, 44857 Cedar Ave. The facility is open from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
While MOAH and MIOAH: CEDAR prepare for the new exhibits, patrons are encouraged to visit the Western Hotel Museum, located at 557 W. Lancaster Blvd. The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday and accompanying Friday of each month.
