The Palmdale City Library,  700 E Palmdale Blvd. will host its “Kindness Rocks” on Monday, June 3 from 4 – 5 p.m.

“Our goal is to promote random acts of kindness to unsuspecting recipients by painting and dropping inspirational rocks for other people to find,” said Circulation Supervisor Janet McLagan. “It’s family friendly fun for adults and kids.”

The program is free and open to all ages. Rocks and paint are provided.

“The ‘rock’ movement was started to make someone smile and anyone’s day a little brighter,” added McLagan.

Upcoming “Kindness Rocks” events are scheduled for July 1, Aug. 5, and Sept. 9 from 4 – 5 p.m.

The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m.
