The Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th St.. East in Palmdale, will host two sessions of a Musical Theatre Camp, as well as two sessions for the Tri Valley Arts Ballet Academy Dance Camp Intensive this month and in July.
In Musical Theatre Camp, students will study and learn theater songs with professional vocal instruction in a comfortable group setting. Camp will focus on vocal technique, ear training, reading music, harmonizing, and stage presence.
Sessions will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays June 18 through 27 and July 9 through 25 from 4 – 6 p.m. Cost for the June session is $44 and the July session is $58.
The Tri Valley Arts Ballet Academy Dance Camp Intensive is a fun and creative experience for students ages 6 to 18 with little or no dance experience. Ballet, hip-hop, music and craft activities are included. More experienced students will participate in a concentrated study of dance: ballet technique, pointe and variations, modern, hip-hop, pilates, salsa, and musical .
Sessions will be held Monday through Thursday through June 27, from 2:30 – 8:30 p.m., and Tuesday through Thursday, July 9 through July 25 from 2:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Cost for each session is $225.
