The city of Palmdale invites residents to attend one of its upcoming General Plan Community Workshops taking place this month.

The workshops will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Palmdale Aerospace Academy, 3300 E. Palmdale Blvd., in the cafeteria. They’ll meet again on Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Highland High School, 39055 25th St. West, also in the cafeteria.

The information presented will be the same at both workshops. Light refreshments and Spanish interpretation will be provided.  Requests for other languages will be accommodated if made at least three working days (72 hrs) in advance of the scheduled meeting date.

The General Plan is the city’s 25-year guide for growth and development and can benefit the city by creating a collective vision for the future to improve the identity and quality of life in Palmdale. The General Plan will address important community topics such as new growth, housing, sustainability, safety, mobility and health.

“For the first time in over 25 years, the city is undertaking a comprehensive update to its General Plan and we want to hear from you!” said Planning Manager Rob Bruce.
