A 65-year-old man was fatally injured when he was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while crossing a street in South Los Angeles.
The man was injured about 10:25 p.m. Monday on Century Boulevard just west of Main Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he later died, police said. His name was withheld, pending notification of relatives.
The victim was using a walker at the time of the crash, according to media reports.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic woman and the suspect vehicle was possibly a 2003 blue Honda hatchback, police said.
A standing reward of up to $25,000 is in effect, offered by the Los Angeles City Council for help solving hit-and-run cases.
