Classy Babie, a Black-owned wellness studio offering the latest technology in 3D/4D/HD Live Ultrasounds for expecting families, kicked off its week-long grand opening Nov. 28, during national “Small Business Saturday.”
The unique facility, located at 8473 S. Van Ness Ave., Suite 103, offers a boutique filled with new infant essentials. Massage therapy rooms and beauty treatment sessions are also available to the general public.
Classy Babie provides a memorable family experience for fathers and siblings who are not allowed to attend prenatal hospital visits. The studio offers private family viewing rooms and the latest technology to stream and share the ultrasound session with friends and family across social media platforms.
Owner Kristin Gooden, a veteran healthcare administrator, wife, mother of two, and Inglewood native, says her passion for healthcare, and the need to provide positive family experiences during the pandemic, propelled her into this new business venture.
Gooden enjoyed visiting the doctor’s office to “get a peek” at her precious babies during both of her pregnancies.
“Being pregnant is a phenomenal and memorable experience, but it can be uncomfortable,” she said. “I want to create a safe space where expecting mothers and fathers can experience joy, connection, and comfort while establishing a strong bond with their growing baby.
“Classy Babie will ensure a safe, clean environment for everyone in the family to enjoy this experience of a lifetime,” concluded Gooden.
