Projection: One of every 140 County residents are infected with Virus

This week, Los Angeles County health officials have projected that one out of every 140 residents is currently infectious with the coronavirus

While the figure does not include people who are hospitalized, isolated or quarantined, it does reflect people who are in the community, potentially spreading the virus.

The current transmission rate is estimated at 1.14, representing the average number of people every COVID-19 people infects with the virus.

The rate is reportedly the same as it was last week.
