Waste Management has requested an additional week for its temporary residential green waste pick-up schedule for customers in Santa Clarita. Residential green waste pick-up, which normally occurs weekly, has taken place every other week. Today is the last day of the revised schedule.
With newly hired drivers and the anticipation of drivers returning from quarantine, Waste Management expects to return to normal levels of service beginning Feb. 1.
The schedule modification means that only residential green waste carts (yard waste) will be serviced once every two weeks on their regular service day. Trash and recycling pick-up schedules will not be affected. Affected residents will be notified the day before service changes using a combination of automated phone calls, emails and text messages according to each customer’s notification preferences.
