Part of Clean California Community Days

As part of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Clean California initiative, the city of Compton; Mayor Emma Sharif; Compton College; and the office of Assemblymember Mike Gipson will be hosting neighborhood clean-ups, a mini job fair, and community celebration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25 at Compton College, 1111 E. Artesia Blvd.

The event is part of “Clean California Community Days — Spring Into Action,” and the effort will have dozens of volunteers safely remove trash and other debris in neighborhoods surrounding Compton College in the city of Compton.

Clean California Community Days are made possible through the California initiative, a multiyear clean-up effort led by Caltrans to remove trash, create thousands of jobs, and engage communities to transform public spaces.
