Civil rights attorney and child advocate Areva Martin and the Special Needs Network (SNN) have announced that former Congresswoman Val Demings will deliver the keynote address for the 17th annual Tools for Transformation Conference from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at California State Dominguez Hills, 1000 E. Victoria St., in Carson during the Tools for Transformation Conference.

The Tools for Transformation Conference is the largest and most comprehensive free autism/ADHD/learning disabilities conference in Los Angeles. The conference presents workshops by the country’s most renowned experts in intervention strategies, education, healthcare, culturally competent services, advocacy, and social justice.

Hosted by Fox TV’s media personality Elex Michaelson, the workshops will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the college campus. Based in Los Angeles, SNN is one of the nation’s leading disability, children’s health and social justice nonprofits in the country. Demings will speak on the conference’s theme of “In Pursuit of Equity.”

The free one-day conference will run from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and includes a plethora of events, such as book signings with notable guest authors.
