Palmdale Parks/Rec Master Plan survey

Your feedback will help guide decisions

Palmdale residents are being encouraged to take a survey and tell city officials what they think about local parks and recreation facilities, programs, and services. The Palmdale Parks and Recreation Master Plan is an effort to plan improvements for the future of our parks and recreation amenities, programs, and services.

City officials say community input is an essential part of the process to better understand residents’ needs and desires concerning parks and recreation. The community feedback will help guide decisions.

A random sampling of residents will receive a paper survey in the mail. These residents were selected to provide responses that will provide statistically valid results. If you receive a paper survey in the mail, we encourage you to provide feedback within 10 days. In addition, the Parks and Recreation Department invites all residents to give feedback and input through an open-link survey that will go live at the beginning of June.

The results of this survey will create a priority blueprint for places in need of improvement, methods for growing responsibly, and programs and recreational opportunities our community wants to see in Palmdale. Additionally, residents can include what improvements you want to see and what you would like the City to prioritize.

This project is led by BerryDunn, with survey and data work done by RRC Associates. 4,500 households in the City of Palmdale have been mailed the paper survey with an option to complete the survey online, and responses from these residents will comprise the statistically valid sample.

The open-link survey will allow all interested residents to provide feedback for the final analysis. Open-link results will be kept separate from the statistically valid responses, and these responses will nonetheless offer valuable input for the city.
