See ‘Hocus Pocus’ on Oct. 13

The City of Palmdale’s popular Family Movie Nights continues with the showings of Disney Classic films “Hocus Pocus” on Friday Oct. 13 and “The Nightmare Before Christmas” on Friday, Oct. 20 at 6:45 p.m.

The 1993 film “Hocus Pocus” (PG) is set in Salem, Mass. on Halloween night. The whole town is caught in the spooky, hilarious spell when a teenage boy named Max and his little sister accidentally awaken a trio of diabolical witches executed in the 17th century.

Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (PG) introduces Jack Skellington as the pumpkin king of Halloween Town who, bored with his routine, decides to take over Christmas in this musical stop-motion animated film.

Registration for the contest is open from 5 to 6 pm, and the contest begins at 6:15 pm.
