Dance Your Way Into the Weekend
Fusion Movement Dance Company in Lancaster is hosting its monthly Latin night on Oct. 27 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Latin night is hosted every last Friday of the month and tomorrow is no exception! Entry fees range from $5.00 to $10.00 per patron. Tomorrow’s event will feature DJ Ronnie, tacos, raffle prizes, and live performances. Fusion Movement Dance Company is located at 755 W Lancaster Blvd., in Lancaster.
Owner and professional ballroom dancer, Reina Santapadilla says, “The reason why we created it was because we wanted to bring the dance community out, and those who have never danced to also enjoy a night out. We want to encourage the local community to have a safe and comfortable space where they can—whether a beginner or more experienced– enjoy a night of dancing.”
Additionally, Fusion Movement hosts different classes, with a salsa class on Thursdays at 7 p.m. for beginners and bachata classes on Fridays at 7 p.m. and another at 8 p.m. for Intermediate.
In closing, Santapadilla says, “Dance is a therapeutic outlet, physically, mentally and emotionally and we just want to bring awareness to the community that we are here and we are providing dance services for those who want to learn how to dance and learn a new life skill.”
