Russell Westbrook at Jesse Owens Park

The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, the LA Clippers Foundation, Clippers guard and Los Angeles native Russell Westbrook will celebrate the renovations of 117 new Clippers Community Courts at LA County Parks on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 4 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting event at the Jesse Owens Park courts on which Westbrook grew up playing. The park is located at 9651 S. Western Ave.

Expected to join Westbrook are Holly Mitchell, Los Angeles County Supervisor, 2nd District; Norma Edith García González, director of the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation; Gillian Zucker, LA Clippers president of business operations; and Joe Mendoza, president of the Los Angeles County Parks Foundation.
