Earvin “Magic” Johnson and the Magic Johnson Foundation will host an invite-only, drive-through community giveaway event at Faithful Central Bible Church on Saturday, November 18th for over 800 Inglewood and Los Angeles families.
Participating families will receive a 25-pound box of shelf-stable food, 15-pound box of personal care items and a 5-pound box of AVON products, provided by Feed the Children. Additional items distributed will include toys, protein snacks, coats, eyewear, children’s books, canned food provided by Campbell’s, Power Crunch, Herbalife, Mattel and One Warm Coats. Holiday Hope is an event near and dear to the Johnson family designed to ensure local community members have the resources necessary to celebrate the upcoming holidays thanks in part to the contributions of corporate partners like the Los Angeles Football Club, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Common Spirit Foundation, and others.
“Cookie and I feel so incredibly thankful that we can be a blessing to so many families during the holiday season through our Holiday Hope event in Inglewood this year,” said Johnson. “We get so much joy seeing the excitement on everyone’s face when they receive the food, clothing and the multitude of items that will be provided by the Magic Johnson Foundation and our wonderful partners.”
