For March 5 election

Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan has announced the mailing of sample ballot books to all registered voters for the March 5 presidential primary election.

The sample ballot book is a valuable resource, offering essential election information regarding candidates and measures, secure voting options, and instructions for voters registered with no party preference who want to vote for a presidential candidate.

Sample ballots are mailed continuously through Feb. 13. The distribution of Vote by Mail ballots began on Feb. 1.

The RR/CC offers other election materials translated into 18 different languages. Voters can request these materials in their preferred language by returning the language request form found at the back of the sample ballot book or by contacting Registrar/Recorder’s office at (800) 815-2666 and select “option 3.”

As an additional feature for the 2024 presidential primary election, the RR/CC has launched an updated online candidate statements application.

This user-friendly platform provides candidates with a cost-effective method to submit their statements at a fraction of the cost of including a statement in the printed sample ballot book. The application is now expanding to all county and local city jurisdictions that opt-in, providing voters with an alternative way to access valuable information to make informed decisions on their ballot.
