Health is wealth as most Americans know. If you’re a citizen of Antelope Valley and looking for a worthwhile way to spend your time, the Palmdale YMCA has you covered. On Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Palmdale YMCA will be hosting a Healthy Families Day. The Antelope Valley YMCA is located at 43001 10th St. West. in Lancaster.
Healthy Families Day is designed for children, adults and families. The event is free and open to the public. The event will include vendors, food trucks, outdoor games, outdoor exercise classes, community resources, crafts, and family fun.
The Antelope Valley YMCA is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. The YMCA is home to several recreational activities and programs. Programs include group exercises, day camp, sleep-away camp, youth classes, personal training, food distribution, senior fitness, school-age child care, swim lessons and youth sports. Tomorrow, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., a cycling class will be conducted by James Brownlow. Group X and Cardio Dance class will take place from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. hosted by Exzetta Willis.
